my brother moved to scarsdale, think it's close to there.. was in the same boat as you, didn't wanna leave the city but 2 kids kinda made it impossible..
I don't get it - you've chosen every single step along the way, and have the means to actually make choices that many others don't.
You could stay in the city if you wanted. Or Park Slope. Or anywhere.
Is it possible that what you're really upset about is how quickly you swapped being a "young hipster" for the bourgeois life? Or that you are too neatly fitting into a demographic?
Whatever the case may be, I would take a step back and be thankful that you have a wonderful wife, 2 amazing kids, and the luxury of choice!
