I just went on a binge and picked these up recently.
Sean Lennon - Friendly Fire. It's a pleasant listen and has it's moments. Close to being really good and great, but not quite there. Still, it's a nice record.
Eels (with strings) - Live at Town Hall. Nice, mellow acoustic Eels. Cool cover of Dylan's "Girl From the North Country" that doesn't sound like Dylan at all.
My Morning Jacket - Okonokos. Probably my favorite band going right now. And, their live stuff really let's them open up and breathe. I love this record. Great rocking record. Great driving record. Great put on your headphones at work and get some good stuff done record.
M. Ward - Transfigurations of Vincent. Been into him lately. I think I like "Transistor Radio" better, but this is good too. Cool version of Bowie's "Let's Dance" that you won't even recognize.
Bob Dylan - Modern Times. I won't talk about this much, except that it's been in high rotation since I got it. Even if he's ripping people off, the music, melodies, rhythms and words just sound good.

and of course, the new Yo La Tengo...but i'd expect you to have that already.

I haven't heard any of these, so it's more out of curiosity than personal recommendation (You buy them so I don't have to?):

I would say skip Joseph Arthur's 2006 release. It's a rehash. 'Redemption's Son' from 2002 is the one.
I second the suggestion above for the new Yo La Tengo, an excellent return to form.
I'd also encourage you to think about the NEW M. Ward ("Post-War"). I was not a big fan of his previous stuff (which I found just ok) but I think he, like Cat Power, is breaking out from the indie/singer-songwriter niche.
Other ideas:
1. Beck "The Information" - Hype fatigue from the last few albums had set in and I was avoiding it for a bit, but the new album is good and growing on me.
2. Phoenix "It's Never Been Like That" - Yeah, the lead singer knocked up Sofia Coppola and they ocassionally remind me of a cross btwn The Strokes and Maroon 5. Still, it's a solid album of catchy pop/rock nuggets.
3. Radiodread - Reggae covers of "Ok Computer". It's a comp so it's a mixed bag, but I'm a sucker for both Radiohead and roots reggae. A great illustration of how sturdy these songs are. Maybe just download the Toots & Sugar Minott tracks?
4. Spank Rock "YoYoYoYo" - Love this record. It's booty hip-hop for indie kids. Think MIA without the political posturing. Very dirty and very fun.

5. Vetiver "To Find Me Gone" - A nice indie record from Andy Cabic & friends. Gotta rep the Bay Area.
6. V/A "Soul Power: Funky Kingston Vol 2" - Killer reggae covers of funk tunes. Goes nicely with the Radiodread album. Came out last year.

I haven't heard of about 80% of these. Guess I've got a lot of Rhapsody homework to do between now and next week.
