Finally

Sarah had to spend the night at the hospital due to minor complications. They've just released her, and she should be home any minute. Asher's back from his Grandparents' home. I'm taking the day off work (again) to keep things in order.

Good luck today. I hate to say it, but I'm compelled: How I long for the days of "keeping order" with only one kid. Sounds almost easy. Even though our second boy is a dream baby, the degree of difficulity goes way up...

Hope Sarah's karma comes round and makes her feel better than ever soon...

Isaac,

When did you know you were ready to have a kid? Were you ready? How did it all come to be? I've been wondering about these things lately.

I knew I was ready to have a kid when Sarah got pregnant. Seriously. Prior to that, I was NOT ready - just kind of wanted it in the abstract, and knew that for biological reasons we needed to get a move on.

I think the nicest thing about the 9 month pregnancy for me was that I had 9 months to get used to the idea.

I think that's where Leo's at...the "NOT ready but, well, OK" mindset. I hope Sarah is feeling better and getting some rest--what an admirable thing to do.

That bath photo (and all Asher pics, really) is cuuuuuute. Whatta mug he's got!

I'm listening to "Mysterious Production of Eggs" right now for the first time. I like this!
